Feature
Network scan and automatic device detection
Medulla is a management solution that detects all devices connected to your internal networks in real time.
Request a demo
The network scan management solution provides complete visibility of all devices connected to corporate networks. It automatically identifies all workstations, printers, servers and connected objects on subnetworks, even if they have not yet been inventoried or added to the directory. Through continuous analysis, Medulla reveals ghost machines, detects unauthorized connections, and supports network security policies.
The feature integrates into the centralized administration console and feeds the inventory, audit, and compliance modules in real time. Its implementation requires no additional deployment. Open source and scalable, Medulla runs on more than 100,000 workstations and adapts to all network topologies.
Features
Network scan and automatic device detection
Automatic detection of connected machines
Scans all subnets to identify each active workstation or device.
IP and MAC address identification
Automatically associates each detected device with its unique network identifiers.
Integration into Medulla inventory
Detected machines can be added directly to the centralized inventory database.
Notification when new devices are detected
Notifies of any additions or changes to equipment on the network.
Medulla > The steps
The module initiates a regular scan on the configured IP ranges.
It identifies each active device via IP address and MAC address.
The data is cross-referenced with the inventory to flag new equipment.
An alert is generated if an unknown or non-compliant device is detected.
The administrator can inventory, isolate, or ignore the equipment according to defined policies.
